NSCAA and RainedOut renew partnership

RainedOut™, the leading free mass notification service for sports and events, announced today an extension of their existing partnership with the world’s largest soccer coaches organization, the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA). The new two-year agreement provides NSCAA and its 30,000+ members with a reliable and award-winning mass notification service at no cost. Additionally, RainedOut’s FREE+ fundraising service enables NSCAA and its members to raise money with each alert they send.
“Continuing to offer a service as critical as RainedOut to our members was something we felt was very important,” said NSCAA’s CEO, Joe Cummings. “From a coaching standpoint, we’ve all been in the position where we needed to get a message out quickly to our players and parents, and RainedOut does an exceptional job with that. When our members see the service doesn’t cost a penny to use, and it gives them a fundraising opportunity, it’s a win-win scenario for everyone.”
“Our partnership and business model have been a huge success with the NSCAA and its members,” said Jim Fitzmaurice, director of user development at RainedOut. “We are very honored that they renewed and expanded our relationship as the official text messaging service for the NSCAA. Helping to vastly improve communications, which is one of the biggest hurdles teams face today, is something we take great pride in here at RainedOut.”
The NSCAA will promote the free RainedOut service via its website, Soccer Journal magazine, and at the upcoming 2013 NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis. In order to keep the service free, RainedOut allows sponsors to be mentioned at the end of each group’s messages (RainedOut does not allow sponsors to have access to member data nor can sponsors send advertising messages directly to anyone).
When NSCAA member groups acquire their own message sponsors, they are rewarded by receiving a portion of the mobile advertising revenue from RainedOut, hence the name FREE+. To receive this special offer, coaches must create their own account at www.RainedOut.com/NSCAA.
RainedOut’s web app brings together all of today’s media options like mass text messaging, social media posting, web page updating, and email alerting into one intuitive interface. NSCAA members use RainedOut for more critical communication, like cancelling events, changing plans, updating directions, and sending important reminders, as opposed to other social media that can overwhelm recipients with too much information. Because of RainedOut’s “critical” emphasis, the group’s community is more likely to sign-up for RainedOut alerts than other social media sites.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
