The National Soccer Coaches Association of America works to find ways to inspire coaches every day and ignite their passion in the game so that they pass it on to players and others in the soccer community. With this in mind, NSCAA is pleased to announce an exciting addition to our annual event line-up that promises to deliver on our mission.
Beginning in 2013, NSCAA will host an annual Summer Symposium, with the inaugural edition held August 1-3, 2013 at the Orlando World Center. This event, modeled after the highly successful NSCAA Convention, will provide coaches with educational sessions, networking opportunities and a sense of belonging as an NSCAA member, aspects which are staples of the Association. Open to all members, the genesis of the event was the desire to provide an option for coaches that are unable to attend the Convention, and deliver awards to coaches and athletes following the winter and spring seasons.
The Summer Symposium highlights include:
- Educational sessions focused on coaching players aged 6-18
- Two field and one lecture sessions for each time slot available
- Nine hours of lecture and 16 hours of field sessions
- Two indoor 40 x 60 yard fields
- Youth clinics (ages 6-10 and 11+), led by NSCAA DOCE Ian Barker and Assistant DOCE Doug Williamson
- Diploma offerings: Level 2 and Goalkeeper Level 1
- Professional Development Certificate offerings: Educators and Director of Coaching
- Awards reception on Saturday afternoon
- Winter and spring season awards to be given to include All-Americas, Coach of the Year, Scholar All-Americas and rankings recognition
A tentative schedule and find out more can be found at NSCAA.com/summer-symposium. Additional information about the 2013 Summer Symposium, including the clinician line-up, will be announced in the coming months. Registration will open in early 2013.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
