Junior midfielder Lauren Macke from Campbell County High School (Alexandria, Ky.) and senior forward Alex Davidson from Chicopee High School (Chicopee, Mass.) have been named NSCAA High School Players of Week.

Macke scored five of the team's eight goals in the KHSAA Regional Tournament. She scored back-to-back goals in the Camels’ 4-1 win in the first round of the tournament, then followed up with two goals in the first nine minutes of the semifinal game en route to the 3-0 win.

In the regional championship game, she scored the lone goal for the Camels in a game that ended in regulation at 1-1. Macke did tally a penalty kick; however the Camels lost 6-5. The junior’s efforts this season earned her First Team All-Region and she finished the year with a team-leading 20 goals. Macke and the Camels are coached by Dave Morris.

Davidson had a strong week for the Chicopee. He scored two goals in the Pacers’ 2-0 victory last Monday and then connected on the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw last Thursday. The tying goal kept the Pacers tied for first place in the Churchill-Morian Division.

Davidson is a four-year member of the varsity soccer program. He and the Chicopee boys’ team are coached by Tom Rivet.
