VIDEO: World-Class Clinicians and Their Breadth of Knowledge is a Reason to Attend 2013 Convention
Posted by NSCAA on Dec 18, 2012 in Events 0 Comments
Year in and year out, the NSCAA develops a comprehensive clinician lineup for its annual Convention unlike any other soccer-related show in the world. Coaches, administrators, TV commentators and more come from across the globe to teach attendees of all levels of the game.
At the 2013 Convention, attendees have the opportunity to hear and learn from:
- Tom Sermanni, U.S. Women's National Team head coach
- Anson Dorrance, head coach of the 2012 National Champion UNC women's team
- Tony DiCicco, CEO and Founder of SoccerPlus and former U.S. Women’s National Team head coach
- Janet Rayfield, Illinois head women's coach and 2013 Honor Award winner
And that's just a few of the top-notch experts presenting this year!
The NSCAA Convention schedule blends three types of teaching methods: lecture sessions, field sessions and roundtables. Lecture sessions are similar to a classroom-setting to allow for basic fundamentals to be taught. Field sessions put teaching points in motion, allowing attendees to visualize what they are taking back to their own teams and clubs. Roundtable sessions allow attendees to interact with presenters on a more personal level and create a dialogue among participants of the session.
The 2013 Convention allows attendees to further tailor their event experience with the introduction of the Education Experience Tracks. These tracks, indicated on the master Convention schedule, allows coaches to add sessions based on the level they coach. Take a look at this NSCAA.com article ("Navigating the Convention") for a video tutorial on how to develop your Convention schedule.
Here are two coaches, UNC's Dorrance and West Virginia's head women's coach Nikki Izzo-Brown on the reasons they attend the annual NSCAA Convention.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
