The Alaska Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) is the latest addition to the expanding network of NSCAA Official Educational Partners.
“The NSCAA Education Department is delighted to be able to work with the Alaska Youth Soccer Association on educational initiatives that will be of benefit to our shared members,” Ian Barker, NSCAA Director of Coaching Education, said.
“On a personal level, I have visited Alaska on soccer-related trips three times and each trip has been really enjoyable and eye opening. The NSCAA looks forward to collaborating with the Alaska Youth Soccer Association in any way it can, and specifically in educational programming.”
Among the benefits the AYSA will receive is access to the Online Resource Library, NSCAA courses, and other instructional material. Additionally, AYSA will offer NSCAA courses ranging from Level 1 through 6, Special Topics, Goalkeeping Level 1 through 3 and High School diplomas.
The AYSA currently manages soccer programs in the cities of Ketchikan, Sitka, Juneau, Anchorage, Chugiak, Fairbanks, North Pole, Homer, Kenai, Wasilla and Palmer. The programs focus on recreational soccer, competitive soccer, TOPSoccer (a program for players with physical and mental disabilities), and state level elite soccer training through the National Olympic Development Program.
“We are excited about our new partnership with the NSCAA,” Matt Dusenberry, Alaska Youth Soccer Acting Technical Director, said. “Like the geography of our state, the needs of our members are quite vast. This collaboration with NSCAA will complement the current educational programs we offer and allow us to further help our soccer communities to develop and enhance the game.”

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
