The NSCAA continues to expand its educational outreach through a partnership with the Nebraska State Soccer Association (NSS).

“The NSCAA is excited to partner with Nebraska State Soccer. Through this partnership, our combined membership will benefit from both local coaching education opportunities and an array of other coaching resources that will build on the solid education foundation the NSS has established,” Ian Barker, NSCAA Director of Coaching Education, said.

The NSS represents more than 25,000 youth and adult soccer players, 3,000 coaches, 800 referees and 500 administrators in the state of Nebraska. The NSS consists of various clubs who register players (boys and girls) from ages 4 through 19 in youth clubs and any age in the adult clubs.

Through the Olympic Development Program (ODP) the NSS has produced various players who have represented the U.S. in international tournaments. Peter Schropp, Madison Henry and Hannah Davis are among the latest generation of future national team players.

“We are extremely excited to partner with the NSCAA, and we feel that growing our menu will help coaches of all levels throughout Nebraska,” Casey Mann, NSS Technical Director, said. “We emphasize in all of our courses that coaching is an ongoing educational process and that we all need to grow continuously. Partnering with the NSCAA is one way that we can lead by example.”

Among the benefits the NSS will receive is access to the Online Resource Library, NSCAA courses, and other instructional material. Additionally, the NSS will offer NSCAA courses ranging from Level 1 through 6, Special Topics and Goalkeeping Level 1 through 3.

Registration is open for a Level 2 course hosted by NSS scheduled for March 16 in Lincoln, Neb. Information about additional courses hosted by Nebraska State Soccer will be made available on the Master Course Schedule at NSCAA.com.
