Erik Clark, a senior midfielder from Wando High School (Mount Pleasant S.C.) and Taylor Baur, a freshmen defender from Mary Institute and St. Louis Day School (St. Louis, Mo.), have been named as the NSCAA/TopDrawerSoccer.com High School Players of the Week.

Clark is the first player to repeat as an NSCAA High School Player of the Week. He first won the award on April 3 and has since continued his elite form. The senior midfielder was named MVP of the Palmetto Cup. Clark scored seven goals and registered three assists in the Cup tournament. Two of his seven goals came in the 3-0 championship game victory.

He will play at the College of Charleston this fall under head coach and NSCAA member, Ralph Lundy.

Other male finalists included Eduardo Umana from James F. Byrnes High School (Duncan, S.C.) and Chandler Corley from Chapin High School (Chapin, S.C.)

Baur scored three goals in her last two games. The freshman defender scored two goals in a 3-0 win over Notre Dame High School. She followed up with a free kick goal from 40 yards in a 3-0 victory over Principia High School. The Rams are currently undefeated at 10-0-0 and they have outscored their opponents 25-1 in the month of April.

Other female finalist included McKenzie Nabity from Millard South High School (Omaha, Neb.)

The NSCAA High School Player of the Week program is designed to highlight the future stars of the game. Anyone can nominate a player, however only players whose coach is a current NSCAA member are eligible for selection. Honorees will be announced on Wednesdays.
