One of the most innovative youth training programs in Major League Soccer is partnering with the World’s Largest Soccer Coaches’ Organization. The New England Revolution Soccer Academy has signed on as an NSCAA Official Education Partner.

“We are excited to add this MLS club academy into our education fold. Our partnership with the New England Revolution Academy will impact some of the most talented coaches and athletes in that region,” NSCAA Director of Coaching Education, Ian Barker, said. “We look forward to building on the solid education and development foundation that Revolution Academy has established.”

The New England Revolution Academy and NSCAA will work together to groom highly-trained coaches by equipping them with the tools they need to continue developing elite level athletes. The Revolution Academy will offer its members NSCAA courses ranging from Level 1 through 6, Special Topics, Goalkeeping Level 1 through 3 and High School diplomas.

It already has scheduled a Special Topics course, “Reading the Game,” using the August 17, game between the New England Revolution and the Chicago Fire as the backdrop for the course.

Revolution Academy coaches can also benefit from other NSCAA educational resources such as the Online Resource Library. This database is full of training sessions and articles coaches can use with their teams, such as the contribution from the Revolution Academy below.

"Partnering with the NSCAA is tremendous for the Revolution Academy and the New England Revolution. We're very excited to collaborate with the largest coach education organization in the world to further the development of our game,” Deven Apajee, Revolution Academy Director, said. “Our partnership with the NSCAA allows the Revolution Academy to be a major part of elevating and promoting coaching education in the New England region.”

The Revolution Academy has produced a number of top-tier athletes who have received scholarship offers from collegiate programs, and who have earned contracts from the Revs. Six Academy players recently signed commitments to play for collegiate soccer programs, while two Academy products – Diego Fagundez and Scott Caldwell – are prominent members of the Revolution’s first team.

Additionally, the U.S. Soccer Federation recognized the New England Revolution Academy as one of the top eight youth development programs.
