Social Media to Enhance the Summer Symposium Experience
Posted by NSCAA on Jun 25, 2013 in Events 0 Comments
Whether you’ve fought the movement or embraced it with open thumbs, social media is ingrained with our everyday life.
Facebook. Twitter. LinkedIn. YouTube. They will all play a fun and integral part of the 2013 Summer Symposium in August.
In addition to tweeting and updating your Facebook status while at the Symposium, be sure to join us in using these online social features of the late-summer event. Make sure you can participate in all that's going to go on by registering for the Symposium today.
Follow @NSCAA and @NSCAAhs on Twitter and “like” us on Facebook
If you aren’t already a fan of our Facebook page, or following us on Twitter, do so before landing in Orlando in August. It’s the quickest and easiest way to receive updates about the Symposium as they are announced. The NSCAA will also be posting news, information, photos and videos from the event for all to see and experience.
Tag your tweets and Facebook messages with #nscaaSS
Adding what some call a pound sign (#) before a word creates a Twitter or Facebook hashtag, categorizes your message with others that used the same hashtag.
The official hashtag for the Summer Symposium is #nscaaSS, so be sure to use when attending Symposium sessions throughout the weekend. Using the #nscaaSS is also a way for attendees to ask questions of panelists at select sessions. Tune into Twitter during Symposium to see what those sessions will be and send in your questions.
Summer Symposium Tweetup
A tweetup is an in-person gathering for people who know each other through Twitter. Even if you don’t know everyone there, a tweetup is a great way to meet new people and get together with your coaching colleagues.
The only way to know when the tweetup will be is to stay tuned into @NSCAA and @NSCAAhs on Twitter. We’ll tweet out date, location and time of the first-ever NSCAA Tweetup at the first-ever Summer Symposium.
Lots of history being made in August!
Symposium Photo Contest
Thanks to the enhanced capabilities of the smart phone, everyone can capture moments by just taking the phone out of the pocket.
As you are capturing your experiences at Symposium, tag them with #nscaaSS on Facebook or Twitter and they are automatically entered into the Symposium Photo Contest. The most unique photo and the most retweeted photo will win a gift onsite.
We’ll also compile all of the Summer Symposium photos into an album that will be shared on our Facebook page, so everyone can see the excitement happening in Orlando.
NSCAA Live Chat during Symposium
The NSCAA periodically hosts live chats, during which viewers can ask questions of the panelists. We’re taking that a step further and hosting a live chat during one of the lecture sessions. Using the #nscaaSS hashtag, attendees and viewers at home can watch and participate in the broadcast. Additional details about that chat and how to participate will be made available at a later date.
This and a lot more awaits you in Orlando, August 1-3. Join us for the inaugural event and register online now.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
