The Empowerment Through Sport Leadership Series will conduct its next conference in Orlando on Friday, Aug. 2 at the Orlando Marriott World Center.
Hosted in partnership with the NSCAA during its Summer Symposium, ETSLS Orlando presents world class professionals and speakers to engage girls ages 12-18, parents and coaches, on a variety of themes during this interactive all day conference.
Founded by former US Women's National Soccer Team member, Angela Hucles, ETSLS is a one day experience bringing together many different aspects of sports, leadership, and education presented in a style of practical situations.
We're excited to have one of the world's best Paralympic track and field athletes, April Holmes, as the keynote speaker for the day, along with other amazing former professional athletes, collegiate coaches, international non-profit organizations, sports professionals and more.
Of the event, Hucles said: "ETSLS provides such an incredible environment for young women to not only interact with great speakers and people, hearing different stories of success, but also an opportunity to discover and use their own voices in order to create their own stories of success. It's such a powerful day, filled with energy, fun, learning, and different ways of being involved in our own communities. My parents were very involved in both my brother's and my education and sports endeavors, so I learned the value in having both my parents and my coaches on the same page when I was growing up. The majority of conferences today are geared towards adult only audiences, so it's wonderful to provide something that combines sports and education, making it fun to a younger audience as well. I tried to think of something that I would have wanted to go to when I was that age, and that's where the idea of the Empowerment Through Sport Leadership Series started."

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
