The NSCAA is committed to serving the diverse community that is soccer in the United States. The 2012 NSCAA Convention gives youth, high school and college coaches an opportunity to learn, participate and belong within these constituent groups throughout the weekend.
Youth Coaches
The NSCAA will be offering sessions for coaches to earn either their Youth Level II Diploma or Goalkeeping I Diploma through the course of the weekend. NSCAA Academy Staff coaches will be covering topics on striking, dribbling and small-sided games for the Youth Level II Diploma and basic handling, angle play and team games for the Goalkeeping I sessions.
Youth coaches will have the chance to hear from NSCAA Academy Senior Staff member Hylton Dayes about “Fun Finishing Games” or “The Importance of Technical Coaching” from Tom Byer, director of Tom Byer Academy and adidas Football Advisor in Japan. In addition to lecture and field sessions, coaches can listen to the panel of NSCAA Board of Director members, including NSCAA Girls Youth Representative Eric Teepe and Boys Youth Representative Kevin Denson, as they participant in a panel on “Hot Topics in High School Soccer.”
Coaches can network with their colleagues and celebrate their accomplishments Friday, Jan. 13, at the NSCAA High School and Youth Coaches Awards Breakfast, sponsored by Shutterfly, with featured speaker Tony DiCicco.
High School Coaches
High School coaches can learn their way to a High School Coaches’ Professional Certificate during the 2012 Convention by attending five of eight designated field and lecture sessions. Coaches can hear former MLS Coach of the Year Schellas Hyndman talk about “Favorite Training Sessions of FC Dallas” or better understand “Social Media for High School Coaches” as presented by Janet Judge of Sports Law Associates, LLC.
NSCAA Board of Directors Boys and Girls Representatives Greg Mauch (boys) and Kevin Sims (girls) will partake in a panel discussion on “Hot Topics in High School Soccer.” Jason Pendleton, coach at Blue Valley Southwest High School and NSCAA Academy Associate National Staff Coach, will discuss “Match Analysis and Scouting for High School Coaches.”
“The comprehensive collection of topics covers every aspect of the game and virtually every aspect of administering your program. The ability to network with other high school coaches, to listen to both problems and potential solutions is invaluable,” says Mauch, Boys Head Coach at Canterbury School of Fort Wayne, Ind. and NSCAA Boys High School Representative.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
