NSCAA Online Education Resources

NSCAA is developing a pool of resources that bring top-flight coaching education experiences to the Internet. These either are original programs developed by NSCAA, such as the NSCAA Online Academy, or are available through partnerships with such organizations as the National Federation of High School Associations or the National Center for Sports Safety. We hope you will take advantage of these programs.

Take the Fundamentals of Coaching Soccer Course

The NSCAA and the National Federation of High School Associations have teamed up to create an online course titled the Fundamentals of Coaching Soccer. This introductory course is perfect for high school and youth coaches who want to establish a solid foundation for their coaching knowledge.

The interactive course features an engaging interface that incorporates audio, video and text to teach essential soccer coaching techniques and methods.

Soccer Parents Courses Offered through NSCAA

The NSCAA has combined with Sports Path to offer an online learning course for soccer parents.

In autumn 2007, Sports Path launched the Soccer Parent E-Learning Courses, which were created for the parents of boys and girls 4-16 years of age. Its goal is to help parents learn how they can contribute to the development of their young soccer players. Parents play a vitally important role in encouraging their children to take up and continue to participate in youth soccer. This e-learning program offers an ideal solution for time-challenged parents by offering units and modules that can be enjoyed in 10-minute chunks at home, in the office or on the go.

The courses are an experience for active learners – instead of lectures, a series of problems are posed that are solved by the parent. Learn more about the four courses.
