To ensure that the needs of its membership are being met, the NSCAA employs a solid corps of Regional Technical Directors and State Technical Coordinators throughout the country and abroad. The 13 domestically based Regional Technical Directors oversee nearly 60 State Technical Coordinators with the goal of increasing awareness of the educational opportunites offered through the NSCAA Academy and its non-residential courses.
If you are interested in hosting an NSCAA Academy course, the State Technical Coordinators and Regional Technical Directors are your first stop. By contacting the RTD or STC responsible for your area, we can schedule your course well in advance and provide pre-event promotion to ensure it is a success.
Courses offered include the entry-level Parent Coach Diploma, State Diploma, Regional Diploma, Advanced Regional Diploma, National Youth Diploma, High School Coaches Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma and Special Topics courses. The NSCAA Goalkeeping Institute also can bring State and Regional Goalkeeping courses to members' locales. Depending on focus and content, the courses can range in duration from 2 ½ to 21 hours.
In addition to scheduling non-residential academy courses, the Regional Technical Directors and State Technical Coordinators are invaluable resources when it comes to getting started as a coach. All of our RTDs and STCs are involved in the local soccer scene, and as such they are well-equipped to answer any questions you might have.
