Purpose: To practice heading back and forth after a volley.

Procedure: The drill involves three groups of six players. Attacker 1 volleys the ball over the defenders in the middle zone to Attacker 2. Attacker 2 heads the ball over the middle zone to Attacker 3. Use five to seven balls to provide many opportunitites for headers. If a ball drops on Attacker 2's side, he or she volleys over the middle zone for Attacker 1's group to head.

Coaching Points: This drill rapidly develops to both groups of attackers volleying and heading back and forth. The defenders collect missed or improperly headed ball and toss them to either side. After an appropriate time interval, one of the attacking groups exchanges with the defenders
