Hanks, Tracy Named 2008 MAC Hermann Trophy Winners

Senior forward Kerri Hanks from the University of Notre Dame and senior forward Marcus Tracy of Wake Forest University are the winners of the 2008 Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy, presented to the top female and male players in NCAA Division I soccer. The winners were decided by a vote of NCAA Division I soccer coaches who are current members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Besler Leads Men's College Scholar All-America Team

Matt Besler (Notre Dame/Overland Park, Kan.) has been named the 2008 NSCAA/adidas Men’s Collegiate Scholar-Athlete of the Year, leading a group of 44 players named to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-America team.

 

Averbuch Tops Women's College Scholar All-America Team

Yael Averbuch (North Carolina/Upper Montclair, N.J.) earned the distinction of being named the 2008 NSCAA/adidas Women’s Collegiate Scholar Athlete of the Year, leading a group of 75 players named to the NSCAA/adidas Women’s Collegiate Scholar All-America Team.

 


 

2008 Senior College Players of the Year Announced

Members of national championship teams have earned the designation of NSCAA/adidas National Player of the Year for men's and women's play at the NCAA Divisions II and III and NAIA levels.  They join Marcus Tracy (Wake Forest) and Kerri Hanks (Notre Dame), the two winners of the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, presented to the top players in NCAA Division I competition.
