While they played high school soccer in different positions and different regions of the country, Liz Davis, Jenny Maurer and Erin Pittenger have one thing in common: each has earned both All-America and Scholar All-America recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America this year.

The three are among 36 senior girls selected to the 2002 NSCAA Scholar All-America Team announced today and were included among the 77 girls players announced Monday as NSCAA/adidas All-Americas. A defender, Davis played for Indianapolis North Central High School. Maurer played midfield for East Longmeadow (Mass.) High School, and Pittinger was a forward for McCall-Donnelly High School in McCall, Idaho.

Davis was one of five players from the central Indiana region to earn a spot on the team. She was joined by North Central teammate Leigh McNichols, defender Jennifer Beerbower of Brownsburg High School and two players from Center Grove High School, goalkeeper Jessica Mann and defender Katie Wright.
