Marcia McDermott

A member of the NSCAA for 10 years, Marcia McDermott currently serves as NSCAA Vice President of Marketing and Communications. A former member of the NSCAA Board of Directors, she was named General Manager of the Chicago team of Women's Professional Soccer in December, 2007.

McDermott served on the NSCAA Women's Committee from 1994-2000 and has been a clinician at the NSCAA Convention.

She was a part of three NCAA national championship teams at North Carolina as a player, earning NSCAA All-America honors in 1986. She also had stints as a collegiate head coach at Arkansas and Northwestern, leading the Wildcats to a Sweet 16 berth in 1998. McDermott left Northwestern to become the coach of the Carolina Courage of the WUSA. She led the team on a worst-to-first turnaround and claimed the 2002 WUSA regular season title and the 2002 Founders Cup.
