Sam Okpudu

A member of the NSCAA for 15 years. He currently serves as the men's coach at Newberry College (S.C.), was elected At-Large Representative of the NSCAA in January 2008. A member of the NSCAA National Academy Staff, Okpodu was the women's coach at Virginia Tech for 10 years. He served as the General Manager for the Nigerian under 20 women national team in the inaugural FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada 2000.

While overseas, he guided the Nigerian Women’s National Team to its third African Women’s Soccer Championship in 2002 and qualified the team to the 3rd FIFA Women’s World Cup in the United States. He also served as a consultant for the Delta United, a professional men's soccer club in Nigeria.

In 2002, Okpodu was recognized as one of 50 people selected to the ACC 50th Anniversary Team for his accomplishments as a player at North Carolina State University.
