NSCAA Podcast shines spotlight on youth soccer

(July 6, 2017) - The NSCAA Podcast, presented by TeamSnap, returns this week with a focus on youth soccer ahead of the 2017 ECNL Final Four in San Diego from July 7-8 and the 2017 Development Academy Championships from July 14-16 in Carson, Calif. The 42-minute episode features interviews with ECNL President Christian Lavers and U.S. Soccer Boys' Development Academy Director Aloys Wijnker.

Lavers, technical director at FC Wisconsin, became the Executive Vice President of US Club Soccer in 2011 and was recently elevated to the role of Executive Vice President of C2SA. He holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma and has served as an instructor for the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma and a presenter at the NSCAA Convention.

Wijnker became the technical lead of the Boys' Development Academy earlier this year after previously working as a U.S. Soccer Coach Educator. Prior to coming to the United States, Wijnker was renowned for his role as Academy Director for Dutch club AZ Alkmaar for more than a decade.
